In the #FirstCommittee on Disarmament and International Security of the @UN and after encouraging States to join the Arms Trade Treaty #ATT and the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW), both processes chaired by Argentina, we expressed the following: “Taking into account the proliferation of weapons of all kinds, we would like to point out that, contrary to the widespread belief, the true greatness of a nation, is not measured by the size of its arsenals, but by the courage and determination to make concrete and effective decisions on the path toward disarmament, peace, and freedom”.
